Traditional Clay Refining · Premium Raw Material
The raw Duan Ni clay, historically known as "Old Tuan Ni," is sourced from the original mines of Huanglong Mountain in Yixing, Jiangsu Province. The ore appears nearly white with deep green speckles. In addition to being used as pottery clay, it can also be ground and sieved into fine granules for blending into other clays to create a textured "sand-mixing" effect.
After firing, the clay takes on a soft goose-yellow hue with subtle reddish speckles. Due to its coarse particle structure and porous nature, the teapot exhibits a distinct double-porosity formation, ensuring excellent air circulation.
With prolonged use, the teapot gradually develops a lustrous patina, showcasing dramatic and rewarding transformation over time—making it an exceptional choice for tea enthusiasts. The Duan Ni clay enhances tea brewing, delivering a rich and aromatic flavor.
